Your Niche
I believe that everyone in the world has their own niche in society, a job or hobby that they enjoy, maybe it’s even an obsession. Me, I am in love with football, I study it, play it, and watch it as much as I can. I play the Fantasy Football with my dad and his co-workers, and I have books like: The Blind Side, The Heisman, The Greatest Football Stories Ever Told, and When Pride Still Mattered. I’ve never felt like an outcast because of my obsession, because it is mainstream, but there are people with what some people call weird hobbies. I believe it is wrong for a person to be listed as weird, or even out casted because there niche isn’t widely accepted by society. Some of my best friends play Dungeons and Dragons, and even go to the medieval reenactments. I have other friends that are obsessed with and do amazing things with computers. My friends were never “popular” in high school because they do what makes them happy. Most people would rather you play basket ball and hate it then do something “weird.” I just feel like everyone has that weird obsession in them whether it be football, computers, or fishing so why do we make certain groups feel bad about it and what is your niche?
